• Versus a standard electric tank: heat pump operation uses less electricity, but the equipment often costs more upfront. Actual savings depend on the model, household use, electricity rate, and operating mode.
• Versus tankless: a hybrid stores hot water and needs room for a tank. It is sized around stored capacity and recovery, while tankless is sized around simultaneous flow. Compare the complete installation and operating costs for your home.
